We are fortunate to have many and varied footpaths and walks on our doorstep in Horstead and Coltishall in the Norfolk Broads. Many of our customers enjoy a local walk before visiting us for a meal or drink.
On this page we plan to point you in the direction of a few popular routes starting with a gentle 30 minute stroll to Horstead Mill and Coltishall Lock.
The second walk is longer and follows the peaceful upper reaches of the River Bure, returning via the Bure Valley Railway path. It takes about 2 hours - a good way to work up an appetite for lunch! This walk is also a favourite with our dogs. We are a dog friendly pub and welcome well behaved dogs on leads in the bar or garden. If booking a table to eat please mention if you are bringing a dog.
